In the process of research for a homeowner in the throws of foreclosure hell, albeit stayed in moratorium for the purposes of COVID as a “Federally backed mortgage loan” pursuant to the 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), a little unknown gem of information surfaced.
HOUSINGWIRE says: Party platform blasts “corrupt business model” of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac
Okay, think about this – Fannie and Freddie were collaborators, if not the actual architects, and helped set up and patent this corrupt housing scheme. If you haven’t watched THE BIG SHORT yet, the time is NOW (it’s on Netflix). Then watch it again – there were good guys on Wall Street. Not everyone was involved in the corruption, albeit it few and far between. In fact, for many years America had a moral and more ethical financial community. But shortly after President Reagan began deregulating the industry and President Clinton signed off on the whip cream and cherry topping by deregulating Glass-Steagall – Wall Street went to hell in a hand-basket.

The New York Times posted a Paul Krugman article “Sanders Over the Edge” criticizing Bernie Sanders that is obviously politically (and Wall Street) driven propaganda. What Krugman and the majority of politicians fail to realize is that the Wall Street banks created a new “non-traditional’ mortgage “securitization” that has directly affected over 180 MILLION Americans and indirectly affected 180 million more folks across the United States of America.
With that said the biggest failure that Krugman and his pals overlook is that American homeowners are wising up and researching exactly what has happened to their properties and precisely who was behind the scheme. Continue reading →
