n_sharp_detroit_140718_262853_560x315Friday morning there was a massive protest in Detroit over the water crisis there. Netroots Nation attendees gathered together with National Nurses United to make a statement about how immoral and cruel the water shutoffs to poor people are.

See Al Sharpton’s coverage HERE. Al’s comment, “the City’s whoops” on the backs of the people is very telling. The City of Detroit, like many other American cities, counties and states, were sucked into bad, unregulated Wall Street securitized investments. Yeah, “whoops” – as in ‘sorry you got screwed… IBG-YBG.’

Take a look at this Complaint – just to give you an idea of how invested Detroit was in MBS. Wall Street didn’t care if they bankrupted a city – they probably figured the government would bail the cities and states out too! Apparently, major American cities are Not Too Big To Fail. And who has gone to jail?

  2. How much crime and abuse are the people going to accept before the masses wake up and vote the bad politicians out of office? And good people run for office? Spread the word and educate the masses, IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP NOW! There is no good excuse for the poverty the ruin of a great country. This is evil wrong doing that needs to be stopped.
